TAFE NSW Dual Diploma

Through a combination of theoretical study, practical training, and real-world application, students will develop expertise in strategic planning, team management, communication, and decision-making.  Delivery will include a combination of face-to-face teaching, online learning and self-paced study. Midyear intake commencing July 2025.

SIS50122 - Diploma of Sport, Aquatics and Recreation Management

Cross the goal line to become a manager in a sport, aquatics or recreation facility. Lead and manage teams and liaise with facility managers and local councils. Boost program participation, plan and run a series of sports coaching sessions.

You’ll learn to:

  • Lead teams at work
  • Create, oversee, and evaluate workplace health and safety
  • Analyse an organisation’s participation pattern for sport, fitness, aquatic or recreation programs
  • Plan and deliver a series of sports coaching sessions & major sport recreation event

Training and assessment delivered by TAFE NSW - a leading provider of vocational education.

Study at world-class facilities, including the home of the Rabbitohs and historical Redfern Oval.

Hands-on learning available integrated into the program.

Potential to be considered for one of two graduate roles at the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Eligibility

To apply, you must be a Year 12 graduate or equivalent, with no ATAR requirement. Proficiency in digital skills, including Microsoft Office is essential and a laptop with internet access is needed for classes and study outside of school hours. While optional, previous volunteer or work experience is beneficial and the ability to record videos is required.

Study location

The program includes two days of face-to-face classes at the South Sydney Rabbitohs headquarters in Heffron Park, Maroubra or Redfern Oval, complemented by six hours of virtual or self-directed learning and eight hours for prep reading and assessments weekly.

Cost of training

Fees to be determined by TAFE NSW at the time of enrolment.
